This book is for all generations

“I began to read this book because my parents are well into their senior years, and I wanted to learn more about the issues they face. Though both are still active and working, they each have health issues which have slowed them down. I (naively) assumed that the right questions to ask about aging, or what most people think about, have to do with retirement- finances, Medicare, and social security. What/when does retirement look like? Will they have enough money to retire comfortably? Do they even want to retire, or do they still have much to give? Boy was I wrong!

Senior Moment is a comprehensive life assessment of the elements of living they must manage as they age. What challenges do they face? What opportunities are available to them? Is ageism real? Who will take care of them? Will others understand their wants and needs? Will they have to downsize or move? How do they deal with the loss of a loved one? Do they lose self-esteem as their appearance changes? Are they taking care of their bodies, nutrition, and health? And most importantly, do they have connections in place with a social network comprised of friends, family, and other support systems?”
